Ongoing Therapy Sessions

Our hope through treatment is that every person who stutters will be able to say exactly what they want to say in a confident voice. We offer 30 and 50-minute therapy sessions with frequency ranging from once a week to once a month depending on your therapy goals and scheduling needs. We will partner with you to develop a therapeutic plan that may include becoming more aware of your speech mechanism, learning about your speech pattern, real-life practice in the community, and more. Thoughts, feelings, and overall life impact of stuttering are a big part of therapy. We address fear, anxiety, shame, and anything else that may be holding you or your child back from spontaneous and joyful communication.

Initial Stuttering Evaluation

During this 90-minute appointment we spend time getting to know you or your child. You will complete an online intake packet prior to your evaluation to help us begin learning about you or your child and your specific communication needs. The evaluation allows SLPs to gather quantitative and qualitative information about you or your child to inform subsequent treatment sessions. We will complete questionnaires, speech and language screenings, and formal "tests"  to learn how stuttering impacts your or your child's life in a variety of communication settings. This information will provide us with baseline data to help us measure progress and growth throughout the therapy process.
